The films of Judd Apatow and the Jewish identities he portrays are much more realistic portrayals of American Jews than might be possible with a character like Bruno or Klaus Pierre. The American Jewish identity, at least as it's portrayed by Apatow, is very complex and very part of society as large, participants in the chaos of life in America. Bruno is looking into America from the outside, not a participant from within American society and it's not obvious that there is a Jewish connection tothe reality he, Bruno, tries to portray, other than the fact that the creator of the character, SB Cohen, is Jewish. Thanks so much for writing. It's most appreciated.Randy Shinerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17492764310692982738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5946638.post-44123052913552624212008-08-08T09:37:00.000-07:002008-08-08T09:37:00.000-07:00Do you think there will be any Jewish these in BRU...Do you think there will be any Jewish these in BRUNO? I think he is also working on KLAUS PIERRE, but from what's online, doesn't look like any Jewish references.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14862860159590216579noreply@blogger.com
